The Parade

This year’s WhizzFizzFest will, in grand tradition, begin with the ever-popular festival parade involving hundreds of local school children from across Aylesbury Vale. Over 20 schools have signed up to be a part of this much-loved festival favourite… and they’ve all been busy creating some incredible character puppets and masks. Look out for a brilliant bus, a fanciful fox, and a delightful dragon!

The magnificent creativity of the local children isn’t all that can be admired with the festival parade, as joining in the fun will also be a wide range of local musicians, bands and dance troupes. Festival goers are warmly invited to line the cobbled streets of Aylesbury town centre and enjoy as the colourful, lively and vibrant parade passes through the town.

The parade starts at 10.30am from St Mary’s Church and begins its journey travelling through the historic old town. On reaching Market Square, WhizzFizzFest’s amazing, GIANT new visitor will be waving at the parade passers by until they disappear up into Kingsbury as the parade draws to a close. So, grab yourself a coffee and a great spot and enjoy this fantastic start to the whizzfizzing festivities!
