Queens Park 500 Words Challenge

WhizzFizzFest isn’t just about reading stories – it’s about writing them too!

This year, Queens Park Arts Centre will be running the ‘Queens Park 500 Words Challenge’. Any aspiring authors aged 5-13 are invited to take part and submit their own original 500-word story, written in any genre or style they can imagine!

Our WhizzFizzFest judges will pick the top stories to be read out live on the day of the festival, with the winners from each category being announced in the Main Marquee. The winning entries will then be transformed into amazing online videos featuring professional actors
and bespoke illustrations created by the Queens Park Art Centre’s talented artists. Stories must be no more than 500 words and must be totally original and totally fictional. Each writer will need an adult to submit their entry for them via email by 7pm on 31st March 2019.
This competition is now closed.
